February and March are by far the most challenging months of the year for me. I can't exactly call them my least favorite months, because let's be honest-- February has Valentine's Day (perfect for this gooey romantic!) and March is the turn of the Spring Equinox and also the Persian New Year.
But, what I struggle with in these months is the mental exhaustion/boredom/restlessness that comes from a lingering Winter and the anticipation of a Spring that I'm often convinced will never arrive. During this time, I feel like all the days blend together. And on a strictly fashion note, I seriously get so ridiculously sick of wearing tights! But, I'm too much of a wuss to go bare-legged. In fact, if I didn't wear shorts at the gym, it's entirely possible that I forget what my legs actually look like by the end of March.
So, here's to Spring coming sooner than later!
And here are a few work looks from the past couple of weeks. :)

While I love February (because of my birthday) it seems this year that spring is never coming. I just want to wear flats/sandals..I hate socks and I'm so tired of boots!

DeleteHi Yasi!
ReplyDeleteI recently found your blog (thank you, Pinterest) and I love your outfit posts!
I wanted to ask, what is the dress code at your office? I just started a new job where the dress code is described as professional. My former job was at a non-profit office where the more casual side of business-casual (IE skinny pants as long as they were not denim, leggings with tunics, etc) was the norm. Now, at my new workplace I definitely don't see my co-workers wearing full suits, and I would love some ideas on polished and fashionable outfits -- especially for petite girls -- but I want to make sure I am sticking within the boundaries of a professional dress code. I am younger and more petite than many of my colleagues, so it's hard to judge what I should wear based on their outfits. Any guidance would be fantastic :)
Thank you again for the lovely blog!
The dress code at my office is all over the place! For a more professional work place I would probably recommend "breaking up" a suit. So, wear dress pants with a fabulous blouse and accessories, or do the same thing with a skirt. And you can wear blazers with almost everything and dress the outfit up!
DeleteI hope that helps! :)
I love love love your outfits!
ReplyDeleteThank you! :)
DeleteI agree, Feb and March are so hard, especially this year with the crazy weather! Loving that second look with the popped collar and the pearls ;-)
