life in pictures: the Persian new year!

Hey, Loves!
In my last post I mentioned that my parents were visiting.  What I didn't mention was that this week is also the Persian new year!  The Persian new year (called "Norouz") takes place on the turn of the Spring Equinox and usually falls on March 20th or 21st.  It's a wonderful 13 day celebration filled with family, food, dancing, and lots of eating!
Every year we go to a Norouz party in the area and celebrate.  This year our celebration was taken to a new level since my parents were here.  Party people in the house--I'm telling you! ;)
So, to everyone celebrating Norouz, happy new year!
And to everyone else, happy Spring!

  4. Every year, millions celebrate Persian New Year, or Nowruz (prounced “no-rooz”). In Iran, the new year begins with the advent of spring, and most everyone in the country — not to mention the millions of Iranians and non-Iranians who celebrate the holiday elsewhere around the world — observe it by doing a deep clean of their homes, celebrating a season of new life, and wishing for good luck in the year ahead. 5. The title of your post is enough to indicate what you are talking about, glad to see pictures of your parents. I haven't seen my parents for almost the last six months because of COVID-19, but we can talk through PhD Dissertation Writing Services.
