Dream Catcher Necklace Giveaway!

If you follow me on Facebook, you would know that I took a hiatus from blogging this past week.  I just couldn't pick up my computer and upload pictures or write anything light-hearted.  Every day I came home from work and was glued to TV news stations.  
When horrifying events like the one in Boston happen, you tend to buckle down to the stuff that matters.  And all I wanted to do was come home to my husband and count my blessings.  

Now that the anxiety of the week's events are winding down, I finally have room to think.  And what better way to put some fun and positive energy out there than a giveaway from the wonderful women at Plata Designs?!

    I would wear it with some fabulous pearl earrings my Mom brought me from Majorca, Spain, a cute little 3/4 sleeve eyelet shirt I bought from The Gap, skinny jeans, my Sam Edelmann gold flats.

    I love this necklace! I would wear it with a sheer navy blouse (tank underneath, of course), pearl earrings, a teal wrap bracelet, gray pencil skirt with a thin tan belt, and my tan pumps for a day of substitute teaching at my school district. Casual but mature!

    I would wear this gorgeous necklace with a black and cream striped maxi skirt and a simple black top. I'd accessorize with a gold watch, bracelets and gladiator sandals. The combo of black, cream and gold would create a sophisticated summer look!

    This piece reminds of a summer outfit. I would wear this with a white breezy linen tunic and light wash denim skinny jeans (some "distressed" areas preferred), white canvas wedge sandals and thin assorted gold bangles.

    Beautiful! I would wear this weekly--similar to my F21 pearl necklace like you! I have been looking for a gold necklace to layer with my sideways gold cross; I would wear inside an open collared blouse and with my cami/cardi combos. I think this will be a great piece for travel as well when you do not want to take a lot of jewelry--I could layer this under a blouse or wear it as a statement piece!

    I think that you are right--it would go with pretty much everything! I would use this necklace to "dress up" my casual going-for-drinks-with-friends outfit of skinny jeans (just got a fabulously comfy new pair), tshirt, blazer, and heeled sandals. LOVE your blog, and ADORE your style.

    The past weeks events were definitely rough. I always feel like it's a struggle when things like this happen. Do I continue on with my life as is or is that disrespectful to those whom are mourning? Or do I stop my life and pray for those that are suffering while worrying and wondering. I never know it always baffles me.

I have to admit that I was checking your blog all last week with the hope of seeing some stellar outfits to brighten what was certainly a dark and anxious mood in my city.     As a teacher, I would wear this necklace with a white button down, red suit jacket and black cropped dress pants. I'd probably wear my gold-buckle shoes to tie into the gold in the necklace.
