stalling on tights.

It's almost that time of the year.  You know, the time when it gets chilly enough to break out the tights (and boots!).  Even though I love both tights and boots, this year I have tried to go as long as I can before beginning to wear them.  Because once I start, it's so hard for me to go back to having bare legs!
The reason I have tried to hold out is two-fold: living in Michigan means that it's tights-weather for at least 6 months out of the year and that can get real old really fast.  And not all outfits look great with tights; so the longer I can hold on to bare legs, the seemingly more outfit choices I have. ;)

Anywho, here's what I've been wearing the past week.
How do you feel about tights-weather?  Love it? Hate it?  Indifferent?

  2. I love tights! Granted, I'm in South and we get lucky if the weather allows for 3/4 months if 'cool' weather. :)

A usual- fabulous fashion inspiration! Have an awesome week Yasi!

  3. I adore that pink houndstoorh skirt!!! I'm ready for tights since I'm ghostly white but it'll be a while before it cools off enough here in Florida.

  4. I love bare-legs weather but the consolation prize for having to wear tights is not having to shave my legs! I will do a few ceremonial shaves during party season at the end of December but otherwise it's solid-black, thousand-denier freedom for months!!

  5. I am totally with ya! I love my tights but since I will be in them until at least March, I am trying to go as long as possible with out them!

  6. I just want to say I LOVE your style! I'm a huge fan of all of your posts :) As for tights, I like black tights, but not nude/sheer ones because I can never find a pair that matches my skin tone exactly.

  7. This is the biggest dilemma I'm faced with this time of year. To wear tights or not. I agree with you some outfits don't look good with tights. Also I fear that if I start wearing tights one day and the next day wear no tights it looks too inconsistent like I don't know what season I'm in.

  8. I always feel like a little girl in tights. Is there a way to wear tights with flats that won't make me look 12?

  9. Love your style. I'm in Michigan too...south eastern part. I love wearing the tights and tall boots. It's my fave time of the year. Also I get to wear all my jackets/coats. I have 30+ winter coats...it's a small addiction I have.

  13. Love those polka dot tights! I'm with you, once you start wearing them, you can't go back to bare legs.

  14. Love, love, love your outfits and how you pull all the pieces together! Wish I could do that. To solve the tights issue, I just wear pants, although I just got into skirts and will be trying out tights. I need thick tights since I am always cold and the school I teach at is so cold, but I can't find any. Not sure if I can pull it off either since I am short and pear-shape and almost 50. I love the pink skirt outfit. What color tights would you wear with that?
